We are looking for committed individuals to fill three positions to begin in the late winter/early spring of 2016. Qualities and Qualifications for all ENYF Staff: -Commitment to equality and social, racial, and food justice -Enthusiasm for working with youth -Ability to connect with ENY residents of diverse ages and backgrounds -Committed to openness, transparency, and fairness -Experience with gardening or farming -Willing to work both independently and collaboratively - Able to work in a physically demanding environment (working outside in all kinds of weather, lifting up heavy things) -Able to work Saturdays and a longer schedule during the growing season -Familiarity with East New York and ability to speak Spanish or Bangla are strong pluses Positions: The Community Gardens Organizer will support backyard and community gardens in East New York to become more productive, inclusive, and sustainable with the assistance of staff, youth, garden members, and partner organizations. Full time. FULL DESCRIPTION. The UCC Youth Farm Manager will oversee all aspects of agricultural production at the UCC Youth Farm and coordinate the efforts of youth, staff, interns, and volunteers on the farm. Full time. FULL DESCRIPTION. The Pink Houses Farm Manager will oversee production, distribution, and community engagement activities at the Pink Houses Community Farm. This is a seasonal, part-time position, with potential to become year-round and full-time. FULL DESCRIPTION. The Corbin Hill Community Organizer will act as liaison between Corbin Hill and site host organization, IS 218. Manage the logistics of distributions; including set-up, clean-up, check-in, helping Shareholders collect their items, managing Shareholders’ accounts, and collecting payments and recording information in an accurate manner.
