ENYF! 2014 Pie Contest

                                 


CONTEST RULES

Pies must be entered by 10:00 AM – Judging begins at 10:30

(Judging ends at approx 12:00 or until we run out of pie or judges)


There are two categories: Savory and Sweet

Criteria for Judgment: Taste, Originality and Presentation



  • Main ingredients must be in season
  • Two of the same pie for each entry - one for tasting, one for display (and to enjoy after judging)
  • Must be standard size pies 
  • Recipe typed up or written clearly on index card for display (important for judges, just in case there is an ingredient they are allergic to)
  • Indicate whether or not the crust is homemade or store bought and/or if the filling is store bought. (higher scores for completely home baked pies)
  • One entry per category (per person)



** Entries must be dropped off at the display table by 10:00 AM!**

ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to ALL! (youth and adults)

 

The mission of the East New York Farms Project is to organize youth and adults to address food justice in our community by promoting local sustainable agriculture and community-led economic development.
