UCC Youth Farm

Our half acre urban farm was established in 2000 as a way to increase food production and create an outdoor educational space in the neighborhood.

At the Youth Farm, 33 youth learn sustainable farming techniques and grow healthy, chemical free food to sell at our Saturday and Wednesday farmers markets. They grow over 70 varieties of vegetables including cherry tomatoes, okra, long beans, cilantro, swiss chard, and our world famous bitter melon! Every season we are visited by hundreds of volunteers who get tours from our youth interns, complete meaningful work projects and learn about environmental stewardship.
